Q: What newer parts can I put on a 2000 kia sephia?
I've heard Kia Rio parts will fit my kia sephia but i'm not to sure about it. I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust and muffler and also thinking about getting better pulleys to put on just to give it a little boost in power.
A: I would put as little as possible into it.
Q: can a double din car stereo fit in a 1995 kia sephia?
I want to put a double din receiver in my 1995 kia sephia. Does anyone know if it will fit? Dimensions of stereo: 176mm x 100mm x 183mm (L x W x D)
A: Not without major dash modification. Your vehicle is designed to accept a single DIN receiver.
Q: 1997 Kia Sephia Fuel Tank Sending Unit replacement?
My fuel tank sending unit is defective and must be replaced. Is there any way to do this on a 1997 Kia Sephia without dropping the tank? I don't have a shop manual, so I don't know if there is an access port somewhere. I didn't find one in the trunk.
A: Check under the back seat. If not, you are dropping the tank.
Q: How many motor mounts are on a 1998 kia sephia?
Its 1.8 Liter engine. And what are the called? Where are they located?
A: 3 engine mounts, one trans mount. 1 front mount located on right fender, one trans mount located left fender, one left mouint located bottom of engine close to radiator, one right mount located bottom rear of engine.
The 1st two are the main mounts that usually go bad and cause vibration.
Q: Where is the ignition control module on a 96 Kia Sephia?
We have had soo many problems with my Kia lately. Now, it'll try to turn over, but won't start. The spark plugs are not getting fire. We would appreciate ANY advice anyone can give! We're thinking about having the ignition control module tested at Autozone. Can anyone tell us where to find that??? Thanks in advance!
Alicia
A: First, don't jump to conclusions too fast. How do you know that it is the ignition control module? Did a mechanic say this?
Check your spark plug wires. Look for cracks, etc. You may also want to test the wires with a continuity tester. Second, inspect the distributor cap and rotor. If it is cracked or the distributor/rotor has a lot of carbon deposits, then you will lose spark.
You could take the module to Autozone or pay a mechanic to diagnose the problem, then fix it yourself if it is simple.
A replacement distributor is going to run you over $200. You need to ask yourself if it is worth the hassle to save some money.

Q: why does my 1995 Kia Sephia keep turning off on me?
yeah, every time I start up my car, it sounds fine. It even sounds and feels nice when I'm driving it. The problem begins when I have to slow down for a stop light. As soon as I start slowing down, it begins to rattle, as if it's struggling to stay on. When I actually come to a complete stop, the rattling increases, goes away, comes back again, then, the whole car turns off on me. I can turn it back on, but in order for it to stay on, I have to put it on park and give it some gas.
any ideas on what could be the problem?
yeah, it's automatic.
17 year old car. it isn't THAT old. ^_^
just figured it out! All I needed to do was changed my air filter.
Thanks for your help though, now I know else it could be if the "air filter switch" technique doesn't work.

A: Automatic? Stall speed is set wrong on the torque converter.
Or the idle needs adjusted. Or both.
Q: I have a 98' Kia Sephia and it needs a new tranmission, is it worth getting it fixed?
I can't afford a new car at the time and in the Kelly Blue Book my car is only worth about $300 with the tranmission being out.
A: I own a shop, and think this; Sorry to tell you this, but its not worth fixing. $300 is about what you could sell it for, if you junked it out & sold all the good parts off of it, then sell whats left to the junkyard, then you might get a bit more for it. These vehicles were made to be "throw away" as a Bic Lighter was intended. Most of the time; it cost more to fix the vehicle than they are worth on the market. The transmissions in these cars are not worth trying to rebuild. If you could find a good used transmission, and use that, you might have a pretty good vehicle that would go for a while longer. These transmissions are made different than most are. They use aluminum where most use steel, and these areas wear out, thus rendering them useless. Try to find a good used transmission, and use that. You might come out on the deal that way, but otherwise you are dealing with something thats not worth fixing.
Glad to add my 2 cents worth!!!
Q: On a Kia Sephia what do i do if the transmission wont shift out of 2nd into drive?
The car goes but wont shift any farther than 2nd courtousy light in the odometer isnt lit up...........can anyone tell me whats wrong?
The OD System wont work or the car wont go into drive completely..............it wont shift out of 2nd and the Drive courtesy light wont come on........
A: Start Shifting From 2nd to Reverse.
Q: 1998 Kia Sephia how do I get the manual window crank off ? Does part of the plastic on the front pop off ?
Or do I need a special tool to get behind it ?
A: put a cotton rag behind it and whip it out fast- try it with the handle in different positions, or hold the rag under it and wind the handle and see if you can feel the clip catch. when it catches whip the rag out.
careful though- you'll probably lose the clip.
Q: What comes to mind when you see someone driving a kia sephia ?
A: CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Q: Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1998 kia sephia?
what does fuel pressure regulator look like and how do i get to it.
#3 injector is not working and we put in another kia sephia and it works what could be the problem.
A: On the fuel pump in the tank. You can access the pump (called a "Fuel Delivery Module") if you remove the rear seat cushion.
Q: Anyone know where I can get specific online instructions to replace the rear brakes on my 1998 kia sephia?
A: Your best bet is a factory manual. Visit your dealer and see how much one is. You might be surprised and if you plan on having the car for a while, nothing beats manufacturer manuals.

A: Call a tow truck.
Q: Fixing the speedometer in a 99 Kia Sephia?
My speedometer will not go over 25 mph...but even when it goes past 0 it is not correct...sometimes while I am driving it will suddenly just drop down to 0 or 5 and I know I am going faster then that...so...I was wondering what could be wrong and how much it could cost to fix it? Is there a simple way for me to tell what's wrong.
Please...nothing complicated..I will get confused :/
I know nothing about cars...but I am pretty sure I can follow instructions well...also, my step dad could help, but he doesnt know a whole lot about them either. Anyways, thanks in advance!
A: There are no more speedometer cables. It is now electronic. A speed sensor on the transmission sends info to the gage and a little electric motor makes the needle move.
It could be any one of the components, however, it is usually the sensor.
I do not know the cost as it differs from car to car.
You will need to have it diagnosed anyway to determine th fault. What you pay for the diagnostic should be applied to the cost of the repair.
