Q: Which city skyline is seen in the Kia Rondo commercial?


A: I'm pretty sure that's San Francisco because the last scene is where I used to live. Almost all of the other shots in the commercial are from SF and for some reason, I've been noticing that just about all car commercials are filmed in SF (great views? lots of hills?).

A: I drove one. Great value. Cheap, but it comes with so much. It has lots of room, great gas mileage, great quality, and reliability.

I am looking for a new vehicle. I am interested in the Kia Rondo. Does anyone know of any good or bad things about this vehicle or any of the Kia's? What other vehicle would you suggest that is similar to this type of vehicle?

A: The other guys answers are very good, i also have a little imput. I sale Kia's personally have for five years. Kia in the past 4 years have increased over 24% in reliability,which is record setting pace in the US market. Although the Rondo is new in the US the platform that the Rondo is on is actually the same as the Optima (same motor, frame, and transmission.) The Optima has been out since 2001 in the united states. Also, the Rondo has been out in the European market for 3 years now, but the Rondo is known in Europe as the Carens. So basically what I am trying to say is that the Rondo has been proven and tested not that new of a vechicle. Has tested 5 ***** saftey rating and I gurantee you that it is the easiest SUV to get in and out of. The Rondo comes in either a 2.4 four cyl. that gets 29 MPG on highway or in a V6 2.7 (both same as the Optima) that still maintains 27 MPG on the highway. The third row is an option from the starting package starting at $17 and full of bells and whistles at $23. I also sell the Mazda 5, it is a bit smaller in size does lack the spaciousness of the Rondo and like the other guy said it does have less power than the Rondo. Nobody can beat the Kia warranty 10 years or 100,000 mile's/ 5 year or 60,000 mile full coverage. Another small fact Hyundai purchased 51% of Kia in 2001. We have had great luck with the Rondo here at Kia. If you were around the St. louis area it would be my pleasure to show you the benifits of going with Kia!

Im just curious, How much did you payfor it. I have one and just did the the math and fiigured that we are going to pay 24000.00 by the end of the 5 year loan! we pay 400.00 a month and have the extended warenty. ha. when we bought it it was on sale for 12095.00 lol. we got screwed!!!! i will never buy a new car again.

A: They have poor resale values and can be found slightly used for $15,000 and under. But they are roomy, good cars. Edmunds.com/insideline tested one for a year to test the good and bad. And it was mostly good.

A: 5'9" yes you would be fine. 6'4" - no it will be tight. I would have to say that it is a cross between a crossover and a compact wagon. I dont speak for everyone, but I will not work on a kia, and I do have 1 friend that bought a spectra in 2002, he wrecked it by hitting a 89 lb deer at 55 MPH, it was totalled. A: I'd personally go with the Mazda5. I am not a real fan of Kia motors and I think that the Mazda is a good car. Its faster, and better built. Prices are something to consider but for reliability, safety, and comfort the kia is something to look at but for performance, safety, and comfort the mazda wins hands down.

A: Actually, we have had success with Mitusbishi Endevour - Mitsubishi in general - like the everready bunny, it just lasts, and lasts, and lasts. Read about them, excellent vehicles

Q: Mazda 5 vs. kia rondo?
or any other 7 seater wagon

A: I would've agreed with the last answer but times have changed and Kia has improved since Hyundai took over. The Rondo is really impressive. Hyundai really did their homework when designing it. However, I have to go with the last answer and say the Mazda 5. You may not get a V6 option and a few other goodies for the price, but Mazda has pretty much always made a good car. The Kia gives you a since of value, the Mazda gives you a since of confidence.

Q: How can I import & register a new or slightly used Canadian car in California?
I would like to purchase a new or slightly used Canadian Kia Rondo and register it for use in California. The Canadian model has some features I want that are not available in the US. I don't care about resale, as I plan to keep the car long term.

A: Here's a thought.....read the DMV website for the answer to your question. Specifically you want to read the section about registering a car never registered in the state of CA.

Q: Why is my steering wheel shaking when I brake?
I have a brand new Kia Rondo and every time I brake from a high or low speed to a stop, the steering wheel shakes horribly. The rotors can't be shot already?!? Any suggestions on what may be the problem? The air in the tires are all at 34psi. Poor alignment?

A: umm i dont know about your kia dealership. but mine is pretty damn good with customers and all. if your cars is actually new. call them and let them know. it should be covered under warrenty i would hope. it could be a loose screw or anything!
